ICT Event brought into focus the European interest in developing ICT research, and funding. 4,500 global ICT professionals were present exchanging views on the role that Europe can play in showing and paving the way for an ICT decade. The ICT event established itself as an influential phenomenon with such astounding number of delegates, and the high magnitude of the field being discussed. ICT Event excellence in its wide and diverse nature of participants; as researchers and innovators, policy- and business decision-makers all are brought together in such exceptional event. The European Commission's Directorate General for the Information Society and Media is the event organizer, and French Presidency of the European Union is the event host.
